Speaking about his new role he said, “I recognise that the news services are the most valuable item in the RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta schedule.  I will set out to ensure the provision of these services going forward, and I aim to improve and enhance these services in the future.  While this is a difficult time for the public broadcasting sector, RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta will be ahead of the game in providing services to Irish language speakers both within the Gaeltacht and across the country”.
